Artificial "suns" maintain the grass cover at the "Balgarska Armiya" stadium

Preparation work at Stadion “Balgarska Armiya” is progressing at full pace, with the pitch now entering the final stage of preparation ahead of CSKA’s official return to the stadium.

The pitch has been constructed by the Irish company SIS Pitches – a global leader in the design and construction of high-quality football pitches used by some of the world’s biggest clubs and sports venues.

The optimal development of the grass is also supported by a specialised system of artificial “sunlights”, which extend the daily exposure to light across the surface and root system. When necessary, they can also provide additional heat to help maintain the excellent condition of the pitch under varying weather conditions.

The implementation of such technology is yet another testament to the high standards set for the construction of Stadion “Balgarska Armiya”, which ranks among the most modern football stadiums in the Balkans.
